Senate to potentially vote on transgender sports ban today

Today, most likely after 3:00 PM, the Senate will vote on a motion to invoke cloture on the potential transgender sports ban applying to youth activities ranging from dancing all the way to some chess programs. If 7 Democrats decide to flip on this motion, there will likely be a national sports ban in the United States.

This will be the first national discriminatory policy against a minority group since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which outlawed legal discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin in the United States. The transgender sports ban affects such a small amount of people, is not backed by legitimate science or research, and is merely a scapegoat by the Republican party to distract the current population of the country.
